Under Blue

Lyrics by Eli Wallis.
Under Blue:
freaking wet creeping drunk eggs
thoughtless king milking wizard
joyless path rain slick sneakers
singing moistly underfoot
george has turned his wife into
little labelled specimens
tentacles shimmering deep
under rainbow under blue

In The Serpents Ear
06:22
|

Lyrics by Eli Wallis.
In The Serpent's Ear:
the walking bags of water
a prescription for auro-sertraline
or like a the rose
sertraline hydrochloride
and a pack of juicy fruit
small square pin in shades of blue
ski jumper playing peter
the coca cola logo
cutting off the servant's ear
a crayola crayon namedwild blue
yonder azul
cielo infinito le
grand bleu that's been hardly used
weeping willow hasn't turned its colours yet
anyway blowing in the breeze
above beds of scattered fallen leaves
it's been a strange year for sure
weird weather for this season
not at all like last year
no sense in trying to predict it.
thank you dear
all that needs to be said
thank you moon and stars
for spending your nights with me
I will never
forget the manner of
your knowing grace
the way you move
so quietly almost silent

Intwining

Lyrics by Eli Wallis.
Entwining Two Warm Bodies:
saint john the evangelist
are these flies my holy plague
saint john the evangelist
is this how noah felt need
for a lifelong project to
get lost in cope with a wrath
full god and wet wet world
saint john the evangelist
is it god entwining two
warm bodies in a shower
in the dark one final time
in the abstract shadows that
now look so melancholic
in the foggy words the cruel
things said now lost in the steam
in the bruise on my hip or
the memory of his scent
saint john the evangelist
it is all that wrong to pray
for a few foil fetches
saint john the evangelist
did jesus christ ever wake
up feeling all is pointless
trees are beautiful bare rings
sweetly documented and
stranger undocumented
fruits sweeter still their tastes too
elusive too make it in
too texts or else they live there
already and we've never
been properly introduced
good day! sir good morning lost
roll of rockets their tiny
powdery bodies slightly
crushed under unknowing foot
bear and bird were made for him
picture a man who thinks that
they would never laugh at him

The Unsound
06:24
|
|||
Lyrics by Eli Wallis.
The Unsound:
in the ear long after the
unsound has fallen silent
fumes in antioch
also present a crinkled
portrait of Jesus with two
phone numbers on his backside
for two elders still standing
at carvolth exchange
waiting for someone to listen to
neither one a peter first
peter or second
neither new in town and under-dressed
one evening in december
just south of highway one
now seven years ago a punch
card one free slice of fresh slice
after consuming ten at least
two of them while waiting
for a clean cut young man from utah
to finish talking
allow a peaceful morning
pizza slice to be consumed
before the five five five arrives
with its heated
air tense silence with drivers
crushed under buses littered
with food eating rule breakers
