lyrics by Asad Dhaumya Charon’s Side Business A coin for the boatman, on his off days he ferries you between a skewbald conscience and throaty desire. Another coin for the boatman to keep his eyes closed. The dead, far more forthright, know less nakedness and horror. Charon indulges each fantasy, "through their knowing I'll have peace, or, perhaps I was happy all along". Charon winks when I say "absolution I'll find in the temple, my shame burning at the altar, secret hands knotting my desire und todestrieb". Ancient is the journey and death but a private afterthought, the dead hardly give him the business that faith and love's entrails do. "Time's arrow fumbled at the bow, we will begin again", saith unconvincing Charon, richer by the minute.

Lost Roads 07:24
lyrics by Asad Dhaumya Lost Roads The lost roads lead home, there are no chance encounters, nothing to follow but your childish sounds in the distance. Eternity rests between the flight of the black bird and its abode among your discarded playthings. On the lost roads who hasn't dreamt himself the pilgrim, first to seek out the face of God? First to see it weeping? The lost roads fork with every step, father stands still, mother dares to breathe.

Agape 04:49
lyrics by Asad Dhaumya Agape (excerpt) Like a thief in the night the infant stole himself away, crawling headlong into a terrifying darkness, with no comforts of the milky black of the womb. He has 13 minutes left before he would forget the language of the angels, as well as his role in the upcoming mutiny.

Agape Apart 05:15
lyrics by Asad Dhaumya Adape Apart (excerpt of Adape) 1 second left- 'round the prickly pear at five o'clock in the morning- “Go forth into the night, for the labyrinth is within you, the music is discordant and beauty is what I decree, sing, SING!” From him and his comrades bursts forth the adagio in tears.

Foundling 06:03
lyrics by Asad Dhaumya Foundling In the endless, dull white there is a secret and it's loud. Off into an rough alley in the suburbs between 72nd avenue and 126th street, the hum of a blackberry bramble, like the sweetness of a crotch, there is a secret and it is loud. I looked around and saw life bursting at the seams. To dream a waking dream, to lay it to rest, forgetting not just where but who you are, because you are not. In the distance the overlapping sounds of machines join the churning of the soul, young boys standing at the edge of a great discovery, each sound in isolation a texture of forgetting. Across the road the exoskeletons of found objects. Life bursting, bursting forth, leaving hidden messages beneath the ablutions of the sun. Thought was the overextended bastard child, any intelligence with the endless dull white to not take itself too seriously, pulls away to become the becoming- It is a secret abandoned and it is loud, it casts no shadow.

To Prepare 08:18
lyrics by Asad Dhaumya To Prepare (Parare Domino) His prayers meet in a river of Faustian monkhood, the wheel forges a path, still carrying promises of love, the apple that rots on the branch. "The world turns to you, your sweet little feet and my blackness shift uneasily." The Great Wait begot the Watcher's lament, tired light catching up to its shadow. "I cast thee down into the fiery depths, my son, my only son, my beautiful child."
9.
lyrics by Asad Dhaumya Master's Voice (excerpt of Adape) 1 second left- 'round the prickly pear at five o'clock in the morning- “Go forth into the Light, strangely enough, he prays, not for forgiveness or deliverance, but wildly hoping that still he after his great forefather might be the first to hear the Master's voice. 1 second left- 'round the prickly pear at five o'clock in the morning- “Go forth into the night, for the labyrinth is within you, the music is discordant and beauty is what I decree, sing, sing, SING!"
